We are delighted to announce that Dr. Elham Hossain, Associate Professor of the Department of English, recently presented his paper titled "English Connects or Disconnects? A Discursive Pallaver" at the International Conference Language Metamorphosis: Implications for Language Education in Decolonial Contexts (LMLEDC). The conference took place on 29 November 2024 at BRAC University.

In his presentation, Dr. Hossain delved into the complexities of how English functions as both a unifying and potentially divisive force in global language education. Through a critical discourse analysis, he explored the nuanced ways in which English can connect or disconnect individuals and cultures in the context of decolonial approaches to language education. His participation in this esteemed international conference highlights his dedication to advancing critical discussions surrounding language, power, and identity.
