Department of English Organizes Freshers' Orientation Program for Summer 2026

The Department of English, Green University of Bangladesh, successfully organized the Freshers' Orientation Program for the Summer 2026 semester on 13 June 2026 to welcome its newly admitted students.

The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Elham Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of English, followed by an introduction session involving the freshers and faculty members.

The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. M. Shahidullah, Honorable Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, as special guests. They congratulated the students and highlighted the academic excellence and supportive environment of the department.

Faculty members also presented the department’s academic vision, programs, achievements, and mentorship opportunities.

In his concluding remarks, Dr. Md. Shamim Mondol, Honorable Chairperson of the Department of English, encouraged the freshers to actively engage in academic and co-curricular activities throughout their university journey.

The program concluded with cultural performances by faculty members and students, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for the newcomers.
