Ayesha Akter's Special Recognition at "Discover English 2023" Conference

Exciting news from our Department of English!

We are incredibly proud to announce that Ayesha Akter, a final-year student of the Department of English, has received a special recognition award at the "Discover English 2023: Student Conference on English Language and Literature." Ayesha’s outstanding research paper, titled "Investigating the Effect of Dyslexia on Second Language Reading Ability of Undergraduate Students," was supervised by the esteemed Dr. Serajum Munira, Associate Professor of the Department of English, Green University of Bangladesh.

This conference, organized by American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) in collaboration with the TESOL Society of Bangladesh, provided an excellent platform for students from across the country to present their research. A total of 128 papers from various universities were presented, showcasing the breadth and depth of academic exploration in the field of English language and literature.

Ayesha’s research, focusing on the impact of dyslexia on second language reading abilities, stood out among the many impressive presentations. Her work was recognized for its significant contribution to understanding learning difficulties in second language acquisition, a topic that is both timely and important.
