With immense pleasure, we are excited to share that the Green University English Club (GUEC), in collaboration with the Department of English, organized an excursion for our students from May 25, 2023 to May 27, 2023, to the breathtaking Cox’s Bazar, the world’s longest sea beach.
This long-awaited excursion was a memorable experience for all the participants. The students were eagerly looking forward to this trip, and it certainly did not disappoint. The Chief Advisor of the excursion committee was Prof. K. M. Wazed Kabir, Professor, Department of English and Proctor of Green University of Bangladesh. The Convener of the excursion was Ms. Munira Nawar, Lecturer, Department of English and Moderator of GUEC, with Ms. Dyuti Mehnaz Ali and Mr. Md. Delowar Jahan, Lecturers in the Department of English, Green University, also playing key roles in ensuring the trip’s success.
The excursion was full of engaging activities that not only provided a fun getaway but also helped students develop vital skills such as time management, teamwork, leadership, and adaptability. After departing from Dhaka on May 25, 2023, the group arrived at the hotel in Cox’s Bazar on May 26 morning.
Cox’s Bazar, renowned for its rare scenic beauty, provided the perfect backdrop for the excursion. From the longest sea beach in the world to the picturesque Inani Sea Beach, the Himchari Hills, Mini Bandarban, and the stunning Marine Drive, our students enjoyed several sightseeing activities along with faculty members.

The entire trip was well-organized, with meals including breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner carefully planned. Special thanks to Ms. Munira Nawar, GUEC volunteers, and all involved for their hard work and meticulous planning. On May 27, 2023, the journey back to Dhaka began at 9:15 PM, and the group returned to the university campus on May 28, 2023, around 6 AM, with everyone smiling, indicating a successful and enjoyable excursion.
